CX 5100, CX 5500, CX 7000 - POLYCOM Unified Conference Station

The new Polycom CX5100 Unified Conference Station delivers enterprise grade video and audio collaboration capabilities in an easy-to-use system that can be plugged into a USB port on a laptop. The Polycom CX5500 model provides the same HD panoramic USB video experience for customers but also doubles as a SIP audio conference phone providing the industry’ s best audio quality. The CX5500 and CX5100 additions to Polycom’ s CX series of Lync-optimized solutions are successors to the Polycom CX5000 HD Unified Conference Station. They retain the unique around-the-table, 360-degree, panoramic experience and deliver more than twice the HD video image quality, double the frame rate for life-like motion handling, and provide Polycom’ s HD Voice for the highest quality audio ( 160Hz-22kHz) while adding a new interface and design and a lockable privacy cap. Active speaker resolution is 1920x1080p ( 16: 9) when used in a Lync 2013 environment. While the CX5000 HD ( previous model) included 2 external microphones in the box, additional microphones are now optional with the CX5100. For most room sizes, additional microphones would not be needed as the microphone range is 20 feet ( 6 meters) on the CX5100 unit itself. In most room environments, one could easily place a CX5100 on a 30 foot long conference table and expect every room participant to be clearly heard without the optional microphones. The CX5100’ s user-friendly design makes it easy to launch or join a call directly from the Lync user environment— users simply connect the CX5100 via USB to a computer that is running Lync. Because it’ s easy to use, companies can save on training and IT support costs.
