Easy to Setup - Auto Focus Function The Focus of the projected image is adjusted automatically by measuring the distance between front of the projector and screen. This function activates immediately whenever the power is turned on, the zoom function is adjusted or the position of the projector is changed, so the projector can be set up easily without focusing every time. - Wall Colour Correction When projecting images on a classroom blackboard without a screen, image colours will be tinged with green. Since colour data for such occasions as projection on a blackboard or a coloured wall were previously incorporated in the Projector, colours and tones of projected images and characters will be similar to ones that are projected on a white screen if the " Blackboard Mode" is selected. In addition, choose between 6 other types from the colour menu including colours of walls or room partitions. - 3D Reform Angled projection ability lets you place the projector anywhere you like. A newly developed NEC chip provides the 3D Reform function, a keystone correction feature that corrects trapezoidal distortions -something which was beyond the capabilities of traditional " up-down-left-right" correction functions. The result is vivid, razor-sharp image projection. If the projection is distorted, simply set the four corners of the screen to activate the keystone correction function and square the picture. This allows greater freedom in setting up the projector, because it can now be set up at an angle in relation to the screen. The projector no longer needs to be placed right in front of the screen where it can block the audience' s view of the screen. - Keystone Correction & Automatic Vertical Keystone Correction Distortion that happens when the projector is not exactly perpendicular to the screen is called keystoning. To overcome it, NEC created " Keystone Correction, " a digital technology that can adjust for keystone-type distortion, resulting in a crisp, square image. - Ultra Short-Focal Distance In an ordinary projector ( lens-projection type projector) images are displayed using a projection lens, which consists of about 10 components. Using this method, shortening the throwing distance is technically limited by the lens diameter, curvature, and weight. The WT610/ 615 projector is equipped with NEC' s unique optical design using aspheric mirrors. NEC achieved the super short focal distance, impossible in ordinary projectors, by introducing the aspheric mirror, which was developed and produced with super-high accuracy plastic mirror technology. The short throwing distance means the presenter can stand in front of the screen without blocking the light from the projector; so, there are no shadows on the screen.
